This musician has made music an essential part of his life. At a young age his desire to play drums and make music was very apparent. By the time he had graduated highschool this hardworking self-taught drummer was not only teaching but performing in professional stage and theatre productions including Pirates of Penzance, Fiddler on the Roof, and Guys and Dolls.
After graduating from Humber College, he became founder and leader of the band Achanti and was the driving force behind the band, writing most of the band's music and lyrics.
A confessed Funk and Jazz addict he has a unique playing style combining a great deal of finesse with an unforgiving groove. He has performed on stage at the smaller venues such as Toronto's trendy C'est What, and The Bamboo, to the larger stages such as Exhibition Stadium and The Pheonix where he and his band landed an opening spot for James Brown sideman, Maceo Parker.
His most recent work led him to exotic Morocco, where he played with the group Michief. David's style has become even more unique as he incorporates some African influences in his playing. Dave credits much of his success to versatility, hard work, and a general love of music - Latin, Jazz, Funk, and Pop.
Relying on over 15 years of teaching experience he divides his time up between teaching, performing and studio work.
